Hervé Deschamps arrived at Maison Perrier-Jouët in 1983. A decade later, he became the seventh Cellar Master since the Maison was founded over 200 years ago. As a guardian of Perrier-Jouët’s style, he has maintained the floral and intricate character of the Maison’s cuvées: the non-vintage Classics range, as well as the Belle Epoque vintage collection. For over twenty years, he has shared his passion for champagne all over the world; his influence spreads from the Maison to French culture itself, a contribution which was officially recognised in 2016 when he was named a Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres. Hervé Deschamps’ blending skills are highly acclaimed. Over the years,he has won nine Gold Medals, two Best in Class Awards and a trophy for his Perrier-Jouët cuvées at the CSWWC.

Perrier-Jouët Hypernature to re-enchant life through the presence of nature

Maison Perrier-Jouët regularly partners with contemporary artists to bring its cultural heritage to life through the prism of its “Art of the Wild” philosophy. The Art of the Wild is the universe created by Maison Perrier-Jouët to re-enchant the everyday through the presence of unbridled nature.

In this context, the luxury champagne Maison asked fashion photographer Sølve Sundsbø to create a series of images that reflect its singularity.

The resulting campaign has just launched worldwide. Bridging the gap between art and photography, Sundsbø delivers a dazzling interpretation of the artistic and floral universe of Maison Perrier-Jouët.The Emile Gallé anemone is, of course, present – not in its original form, but in a reinterpretation conceptualised last year by Luftwerk, a creative duo commissioned by the Maison. The result is a luminous, emotional, vibrant incarnation of the Art of the Wild.

Spanning several generations, Perrier-Jouët’s cultural heritage is best illustrated by the anemone motif designed for the Maison in 1902 by Emile Gallé, one of the pioneers of Art Nouveau. The creative freedom and original observation of nature intrinsic to this artistic movement are shared by Maison Perrier-Jouët. Over time, these traits have allowed it to define an approach to champagne that stands apart from customary codes.
