La Vie est Belle. The luxury edition.

La Vie est Belle. Lancôme, Reuge and Baccarat for Edition Féérique.    La vie est belle (Life Is Beautiful), Lancôme’s 2013 feminine fragrance, entwines the elegance of iris with the strength of Patchouli and the sweetness of a gourmand blend. Three French masters of perfumery have combined their talents to compose the first ever feminine tasty iris. For the exterior of the olfactory manifesto, Lancôme teamed up with Swiss music box maker Reuge and French crystal maker Baccarat.  The team had a mission to design an ultra-limited edition of Lancôme women’s fragrance – the Edition Féérique, limited to 15 handmade pieces requiring 120 days of work to produce.     The collector’s bottle is situated beneath two glass bell jars within a Reuge handcrafted music box, surmounted by a miniature crystal chandelier by Baccarat. The theme music from the La Vie est Belle campaign featuring Julia Roberts plays when the button on the front is pressed. As a nod to the luxurious chandeliers seen in Lancôme’s advertising campaign, Baccarat came with a mini crystal chandelier made up of 133 crystal drops and 48 crystal tubes. “La vie est belle also represents a choice. Universal yet personal, Lancome’s femininity is a choice embraced by women, not an imposed standard. The choice to live one’s life and fill it with beauty. Your own way,” says Lancôme. The price of this luxury edition of La Vie est Belle is available only upon request. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FlA72A3vxKs
