@D’Orsay

D’Orsay

In his day, Alfred d’Orsay was known as the ‘dandiest of dandies’, rubbing shoulders with the likes of Charles Dickens, Oscar Wilde and Lord Byron. He was also a gifted creator. The story goes that when he met Lady Marguerite Blessington in 1821, he fell so deeply in love that he wanted to crystalise that affection in perfume form and so his eponymous fragrance brand was born. Today, D’Orsay makes a wide range of fragrances and scents for the home; among the most popular is Au Même Endroit, which combines top notes of freshly cut grass with base notes of leather.

@Kutnia

@Kutnia

Kutnia

Jülide Konukoğlu launched her lifestyle brand, Kutnia, in 2017 to revive the ancient artisanal fabric Kutnu, a loom-woven silk/cotton unique to her native Gazientep, in Turkey, once prized by the Ottoman court. Five years on, Kutnia’s fabrics starred in Dior’s Summer 2023 menswear – revived indeed. Look out for the signature rich colours, wide stripes and a lustrous sheen across cushions, bed linen and loungewear.

@August & Piers Candles

August & Piers Candles

Referencing personalities found in every social circle, each candle by August & Piers is named after a character we all know. There’s the Eccentric one, boasting confident, unconventional notes of blood orange, maple syrup and bourbon; the self-confessed Socialite, comprising honey, pomegranate and amber; and the sweet Darling, captured by rose, violet and cedarwood. And, just like in real life, each candle is designed to perfectly complement the others.
