Les Merveilleuses de Ladurée: the macaron brand announces a new cosmetics line
French luxury macaron brand Ladurée returns to its 2007 idea of transforming the pastel-colored macarons into a makeup collection.
The cosmetics range entitled Les Merveilleuses de Ladurée (The Wonders of Ladurée) will include 20 different blush colors in the form of cameos as well as liquid foundation and lip color.
Ladurée‘s cosmetics project follows the launch in 2007 of a beauty line comprising items such as face and body cream using almonds (a key ingredient of their macarons) to moisturize the skin, as well as selling home fragrances and candles.
The range created by Albion Cosmetics will first launch in Japan in February 2012, before reaching Europe in fall 2012, followed by the US and elsewhere in Asia.
