Continuing a nearly five-decade tradition, the American Egg Board (AEB), on behalf of America’s egg farmers, will present Dr. Jill Biden with the 2023 First Lady’s Commemorative Egg at the White House Easter “EGGucation” Roll on Monday, April 10.

The American Egg Board and America’s egg farmers continue the longstanding tradition of donating eggs for the annual White House Easter Egg Roll. At this year’s event, held on April 10th, Dr. Jill Biden will receive the 2023 First Lady’s Commemorative Egg, featuring a hand-painted design by Carolyn Bickel that celebrates education and children’s dreams for the future.

The White House Easter “EGGucation” Roll is a beloved tradition that brings families and egg farmers together for a day of egg-centric activities and celebrations. Visitors can learn about the journey of an egg from the farm to the plate at the interactive Hen to Home exhibit and participate in egg hunts and decorating activities. This year’s event will also feature a unique food experience, with eggs featured in all dishes in the cafetorium and provided to NASA for a special classroom activity.

In the “United States of Possibility” Colonnade of Eggs exhibit, children’s creative egg designs representing all 50 states and six territories will be on display. The exhibit showcases national unity and state pride while highlighting each state’s contributions to the future of the country.

As part of their “Fighting Hunger by the Dozens” initiative, America’s egg farmers are donating more than 5.5 million eggs to local food banks in the lead-up to Easter and Passover. This is in addition to the 15.3 million eggs already donated this year, as part of a year-round effort to fight hunger in the United States.

The American Egg Board and America’s egg farmers are proud to continue supporting these traditions and celebrations, with eggs at the center of people’s memories and festivities.
