An italian style comedy featuring the Dolce&Gabbana Matt Silk Collection
The Dolce & Gabbana Gold Edition Sunglasses
This summer the papillion shape in a range of vintage colours is the winner when it comes to sunglasses. The vintage inspired Matt Silk Collection from Dolce & Gabbana is in tune with this season’s main trend: Fifties. The SS12 Dolce&Gabbana collection was inspired by the beauty and femininity represented by the women in iconic Italian movies from the 50s, said the luxury brand. The advertisement campaign was shot by Giampaolo Sgura featuring Bianca Balti. Bianca’s retro look was also well received in the new video directed by Luca Finotti and photographed by Giampaolo Sgura.
The Matt silk collection is available both as sunglasses and spectacles in a range of vintage colours: taupe, cherry red, cerulean sky, lipstick pink, mother earth brown and jet black. The oversize papillion shape is a nod to the cat eye styles popular in the fifties, but the feel is thoroughly modern.
Vintage Fifties designs inspired also an exclusive Gold Sunglasses collection from Dolce & Gabbana, declined in the male and female versions.
The modern yet classic aviator design, rigorously gilded in 18K gold with polarized crystal lenses is more special than it instantly looks. The glasses have been designed with a fold at the front where they can be folded to a 45-degree angle for practicality. They can be worn on the belt or attached to a braided leather cold (which comes with the sunglasses) and worn round the neck.
