Fendi Studios exhibition celebrates close bonds between Fendi and the cinema. Fendi Studios exhibition runs until March 25, 2018 at the Palazzo Della Civiltà Italiana.

In conjunction with the Rome International Film Festival, the Palazzo Della Civiltà Italiana – Fendi’s headquarters – has been transformed into movie sets for the exhibition Fendi Studios. Five interactive sets offer a unique multisensory digital experience as visitors discover creations by Fendi.

Fendi has created costumes, furs and accessories for myriad film masterpieces over the years, from Martin Scorsese’s The Age of Innocence and Federico Fellini’s And the Ship Sails On, to Marie Antoinette by Sofia Coppola and The Grand Budapest Hotel by Wes Anderson. To celebrate these close bonds with the world of cinema, Fendi is inviting everyone on its movie set.

The exhibition is not an ordinary one. This immersive all-digital journey transforms visitors into characters in some of the famous movies to which Fendi contributed, from Italian New Wave to Hollywood blockbusters.

Inspired by famous car scenes, the Easy Riders set plunges visitors into a classic movie studio against the backdrop of a green screen, while A Room with a View transports them to the United States using a giant mirror and video projections on a New York City façade. Fendi’s Adventures in Tenenbaumland reprises an iconic scene from The Royal Tenenbaums by Wes Andersen, and special effects make visitors themselves characters in The Palazzo of Desires. The experience culminates with a set called Every Princess Needs to Rest, where visitors can virtually don Fendi furs featured in Catwoman, How Much Do You Love Me? and Basic Instinct 2.

FENDI CINEMA is a real cinema created in occasion of the new FENDI STUDIOS exhibition at Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana in Rome. Open until 25 March 2018, the exhibition and film theatre celebrate Fendi’s long-lasting bond with the world of cinema in a dynamic and interactive way. Each evening at 9pm a different film celebrating this unique connection will be screened in Italian at FENDI CINEMA.

Admission is free, but seats are limited and must be reserved in advance. For the full list of screenings and to book your seat head to Fendi.com

Fendi also reaffirms its commitment to Rome and the arts through a three-year partnership with Galleria Borghese.
