From international visitors and professionals to local gourmets, everyone wants to be part of Dubai’s very unique energy. For this second edition, the Michelin Guide Dubai recognizes three new one Michelin Star restaurants, and one new two Michelin Stars restaurant, as well as 17 Bib Gourmands which were unveiled on May 16th.

Michelin Guide Dubai 2023 Unveils Special Awards and Stellar Restaurants.

Dubai’s culinary scene continues to dazzle with its diverse and innovative concepts, and the highly anticipated Michelin Guide Dubai 2023 does not disappoint. With a selection of 90 restaurants spanning 23 different cuisines, the guide recognizes the city’s gastronomic appeal and presents an array of exceptional dining experiences. The recently revealed guide, presented at the Atlantis The Royal hotel, introduces new Michelin Star recipients, Bib Gourmand honorees, and special award winners, captivating food enthusiasts and industry professionals alike.

Leading the pack, Trèsind Studio, after earning its first Michelin Star last year, ascends to new heights with the prestigious accolade of two Michelin Stars. The restaurant’s evolution in culinary excellence has impressed Michelin inspectors with its highly original and precise dishes, providing an unforgettable dining experience.

Maintaining their distinction from the previous year, Il Ristorante – Niko Romito and STAY by Yannick Alléno, both renowned two Michelin Star establishments, continue to shine as beacons of gastronomic artistry.

Three new one Michelin Star restaurants join Dubai’s culinary constellation. avatāra, under the guidance of talented chef Rahul Rana, redefines vegetarian cuisine with exquisite combinations of flavors and textures, showcasing accomplished Indian fare. Dinner by Heston Blumenthal, a British culinary treasure, serves dishes from across the centuries and enchants diners with its captivating open-view kitchen. Additionally, chef Solemann Haddad’s moonrise, recipient of the Michelin Young Chef Award 2022, confirms its potential and is awarded one Michelin Star. The restaurant presents Middle Eastern ingredients prepared using Japanese techniques, resulting in a stimulating and original dining experience.

Continuing their reign, all the one Michelin Star restaurants from the 2022 selection maintain their distinction in the 2023 guide, solidifying their commitment to culinary excellence.

The Bib Gourmand selection for 2023 features a total of 17 restaurants, with three new additions: 21 Grams, 3Fils, and Aamara. These restaurants provide exceptional value for money without compromising on quality, showcasing Dubai’s vibrant food scene.

Two restaurants receive the coveted Michelin Green Star, which recognizes their commitment to sustainable gastronomy. Boca, a new addition to the guide, embraces a sustainable ethos through its use of local produce, proactive waste management, and renewable energy practices. Teible exemplifies a cool eatery that combines seasonal, local ingredients with innovation and simplicity, highlighting the importance of seasonality and integrity in its cuisine.

In addition to the restaurant awards, the Michelin Guide Dubai 2023 also celebrates individuals who contribute significantly to the hospitality industry. Omkar Walve of avatāra is honored with the Young Chef Award for his remarkable talent and leadership in creating delectable Indian vegetarian dishes.
