From the globally renowned Concours d’Elégance to the presentation of the Club Trophy by Lockton, this year’s Salon Privé UK is set to be another unforgettable celebration of the very best that the motoring world has to offer.

Cutting-edge hypercar will be part of exclusive new Concepts & Prototypes Lawn at Blenheim Palace, UK.

The ground-breaking Automobili Estrema Fulminea will make its UK debut at this year’s Salon Privé, which returns to Blenheim Palace from 1-5 September 2021, and is set to be part of an exciting new Concepts & Prototypes class in the event’s prestigious Concours d’Elégance.

The sensational Fulminea is a fully electric hypercar built by Automobili Estrema, which was founded in 2020 by
entrepreneur Gianfranco Pizzuto. Based in Modena at the heart of Italy’s legendary automotive industry, Automobili Estrema is aiming to make the Fulminea ‘the fastest technology lab on wheels’ and will specialise in the design and
production of exclusive hypercars built in limited numbers.

Set to go on sale in the second half of 2023, the Fulminea will be the first car in the world to use an innovative ‘hybrid’ battery pack that combines Li-ion cells with solid-state electrolyte and ultracapacitors. The set-up provides 100kWh of energy to power the four electric motors with a total output equivalent to 2040hp, enough to propel the Fulminea from 0 to 320kph in less than 10 seconds.

The predicted range is 520km and, with a battery weight of only 300kg, the total weight of this cutting-edge vehicle is just 1500kg.

As well as incorporating the most sophisticated technology the automotive industry has to offer, the Fulminea also stands out for its aerodynamic and compact shape. Lightweight composite materials are used in its design, which was optimised via the use of CFD testing and features active aerodynamic elements such as the front air intake and retractable rear wing.

The Fulminea will be part of the brand-new Concepts & Prototypes class in the Salon Privé Concours d’Elégance and the winner will be selected by a panel of globally recognised judges. Ten of the most stylish, elegant and innovative designs in the motoring world will be presented throughout the week in a covered display area located at the very heart of the event – the cricket square on the South Lawn of Blenheim Palace, UK.

Overlooked by guests dining on beautifully appointed private terraces, this exclusive enclave will present enthusiasts and collectors with the opportunity to congregate with designers and manufacturers, and celebrate the very latest in automotive technology.

‘The Fulminea marks the beginning of a new generation of electric cars – it has all the characteristics of a racing car, but features a fully electric powertrain and innovative solutions. Our philosophy is based on four main concepts – romance, elegance, purity and balance – and we can think of nowhere better than Salon Privé at which to give the Fulminea its UK debut.” – Gianfranco Pizzuto, Founder and CEO of Automobili Estrema.

‘Salon Privé has a long tradition of attracting the most unique, radical and exhilarating automotive designs, many of which have been unveiled for the first time at the event. With the kind permission of His Grace The Duke of Marlborough, we are delighted to launch the new Concepts & Prototypes Lawn, and look forward to welcoming Automobili Estrema to Blenheim Palace.” – Salon Privé Director, David Bagley.

Beyond the Concours there is plenty more to see, with a lawn full of the world’s most impressive luxury and supercar manufacturers, all showing their latest releases. In 2020, 25 Global, European and UK debuts took place on the South Lawn, confirming the event as a destination for new releases – a tradition that will be continued in 2021.
