Octo watch dressed in Bulgari’s high-end clothes

The iconic eight-sided case of the Bulgari Octo watch has new looks and high-end mechanical movements called the Bulgari Caliber BVL 193. The luxury house hopes the invention will help the brand to continue to position itself as a movement maker.

Designed by the legendary Gerald Genta, who died in 2011, the Bulgari Octo was inspired by Genta’s designs of the 1980s. Gerald Genta watch brand was acquired by the Bulgari Group in the summer of 2000, undergoing a design review.

The new Octo timepice integrates three compelling shapes: the octagon, the square, and finally, the circle. The production and finishing of the Octo’s 41mm, stainless steel or rose gold case, are all done in-house.
