When a Super Hero is Lexus’ muse, the results can be amazing: Black Panther Inspired LC Car

“Inspiration Series” takes Lexus’ flagship products and makes them even more exclusive and distinguished.

With this vehicle, Lexus took the LC Inspiration Series vision one step further into a universe that defies reality. Lexus and Marvel Studios have collaborated to pair the 2018 Lexus LC 500 with Marvel’s dynamic Black Panther character in the highly anticipated film, Marvel Studios’ “Black Panther,” in U.S. theaters Feb. 16, 2018.

Lexus presented two new concepts inspired by the collaboration with Marvel Studios’ “Black Panther”—a 2018 LC Inspiration Series production car and a concept coupe dubbed the Black Panther Inspired LC.

Black Panther Inspired LC Car

The limited-edition 2018 Lexus LC Inspiration Series features an exclusive deeply saturated, iridescent Structural Blue color. This vehicle is the first in a succession of Inspiration Series vehicles Lexus plans to create for each of its flagship models.

“The Inspiration Series takes our flagship products and makes them even more exclusive and distinguished,” said Brian Bolain, general manager, Lexus marketing. “Our collaboration with Marvel Studios’ ‘Black Panther’ features a technologically advanced blue LC and was the perfect inspiration for the first car in the Series.”

Separately, the Black Panther Inspired LC concept coupe is a celebration of the Black Panther and Wakanda itself—complete with a powertrain that gets an extra boost from vibranium, the mythical ore found only in the Black Panther’s home of Wakanda.

“Aggressive style, impressive technology, exhilarating performance—three strengths that put the Lexus LC 500 luxury performance coupe in a class of its own. Three strengths that also make the LC 500 the perfect match for Black Panther, a Marvel legend who exists in a class of his own. See them come together in the exclusive digital graphic novel, Black Panther: Soul Of A Machine,” explained the authors.

Fit for a Super Hero who is also a king, this vehicle is part Lexus Takumi craftsmanship, part Wakandanvibranium engineering and all badass.

This concept vehicle incorporates (mythical) vibranium into its very core to provide added boost. Much likeBlack Panther’s uniform, the sheet metal of the Black Panther Inspired LC is reinforced with a layer ofvibranium weave, making the vehicle almost entirely bulletproof. Top-secret refinement processes alsoallow for a self-sustaining fueling component (vibranium-powered core) that enhances the Black Panther
Inspired LC’s driving dynamics.

Additional features of the Black Panther Inspired LC include: pulsating underbody glow, side-view mirror design based on a panther’s claw with instinctual positioning technology to align with driver’s eyeline,Black Panther mask inlay on hood with vibranium-powered core indicator nodes, vibranium-infused self-healing paint treatment, customized body-widening kit, system controlled by unique Wakandan B-CPU (Brain/Computer Interface) creating a symbiotic relationship between the vehicle and its driver, Remote Pilot Kimoyo Bead Interface allows the Black Panther Inspired LC to be driven remotely from control stations within Birnin Zana.

The 4th Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille held on Sunday 10th September in the Chantilly Château domain fulfilled all its promises. Boosted by its first staging, which placed it firmly among the international benchmarks for Concours D’Elégance, the event continues to progress both in terms of visitors and in therichness of the cars entered for the different concours. 2017 Concours d’Etat

For the 2017 Concours d’Etat, the organiser Peter Auto decided to celebrate in its own way Ferrari’s 70th anniversary with the Le Mans 24 Hours as the main theme. Thus, 28 cars bearing the Prancing Horse badge, all of which had taken part in the most famous endurance race in the world, were gathered together for the occasion divided up into five classes.

From this unique exhibition, an exceptional car won the favours of the jury and the Best of Show for the post-war cars went to the Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa 58 (châssis #0728)(owned by Sir Michael Kadoorie), winner of the Sarthe classic in 1958 driven by Olivier Gendebien and Phil Hill. Among the pre-war cars the class reserved for Bugattis attracted the attention of the jury.

Gathering four Type 57 Ss together in the same place was a feat in itself and it justified the awarding of three prizes for this class crowned by the Best of Show for the 1936 Bugatti Atlantic (châssis #57374) owned by Americans Robson Walton and Peter Mullin, who had already received a prize at Chantilly in 2014 for his 1937 Delahaye 135M cabriolet with Figoni and Falaschi coachwork.

Among the special prizes were the Prix Spécial FFVE for Authenticity awarded to the Antony Type A1 and the whole Antony collection and the Prix FIVA for Preservation awarded to the 1947 Chrysler Town Country.

The presence of 42 clubs that displayed 800 cars in the domain was also an integral part of the show and helped make the huge garden party to which visitors were welcome, a success. Looked after by the FFVE, the Grand Prix des Clubs went to the Fiat Fan Club for the overall quality of its presentation.

Car enthusiasts, all generations combined, as well as families were again attracted by the programme ofthe fourth Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille, which celebrated the art de vivre and le savoir-faire à la Française by means of several workshops and activities in the Chantilly domain.
