V&M’s Design Atelier: invitation-only incubator for design pros


V&M (Vintage and Modern),
one of the world’s most distinctive curated marketplace of unique design goods, announced Design Atelier, an exclusive series of home decor and accessories collections created by leading interior designers and architects exclusively for V&M.

Design Atelier, V&M‘s invitation-only incubator for design pros to produce and promote their own lines, launched November 11, 2012 with renowned interior designer, Christopher Coleman.

V&M’s Q4 Design Atelier designers include:

Christopher Coleman (Nov. 11): Known as “The Colorist,” launched with a spirited collection of colorful accessories and furnishings. Coleman was named one of “50 Designers to Watch” by New York Spaces and a “Top Designer” by House Beautiful.

Benjamin Noriega-Ortiz (Nov. 25): Known for his clean and innovative interiors, he is equally adept creating personal residences for such clients as: Sean Combs, Russell Simmons and Lenny Kravitz, and hospitality projects including several of the Mondrian Hotels.

Heather Maloney (Dec. 9): Maloney is the VP of Design for the King & Grove Hotel Group. She has spearheaded the interior design for the Tides in South Beach, Ruschmeyer’s in Montauk and the redesign of the Chelsea Hotel in New York City. Maloney’s impressive pedigree includes executive design positions at The Morgan Group and Restoration Hardware.

Marie Aiello (Jan. 6): Debuts her first-ever collection on V&M. Known for her elegant style and refined custom pieces, Aiello was named an emerging designer by Metropolitan Home and is a former TV producer and St. Barth’s boutique owner.
