The First Live Total Body Rowing Classes.

CITYROW, one of the fastest growing omnichannel fitness brands announced that it would begin broadcasting its online classes live from a new, state-of-the-art production studio in New York City. In addition to its nationwide footprint of boutique gyms, CITYROW has emerged as a major player in the connected fitness category with its CITYROW GO smart rowers and digital content platform, which offers a variety of rowing-based classes, performance metrics, and goal tracking for an immersive workout experience from home.

Live classes allow users to enjoy the same great workouts, beloved instructors, and exhilarating benefits members have come to expect from CITYROW’s 20-, 30-, and 50-minute sessions. Using the CITYROW GO platform, members can access live classes in a virtual environment, as well as see and share their performance metrics in real-time. To enhance the experience, instructors will be able to coach members in classes as they’re able to track participants’ efforts throughout sessions.

@Atom Class

Atom, Connected Functional Training Solution from RPM Training Co., Goes Live

Authentic strength equipment combined with daily workouts, unlimited digital classes, and a unique new platform make Atom the only true connected strength and conditioning program on the market.

In August 2021, RPM offered a first look at Atom to the functional fitness community in attendance at the 2021 NOBULL CrossFit Games in Madison, Wisconsin, where event attendees had the first opportunity to try the Atom gym at the RPM Campground. In the months since, RPM has opened up its beta version of the Atom platform to dozens of excited participants who have been training, taking classes, and logging scores.

Atom users can expect to see their names on the leaderboard next to RPM-sponsored professional athletes such as Olympic snowboarder Lindsey Jacobellis, 2021 U.S. Open of Surfing Champion Griffin Colapinto, and CrossFit Games athlete Jeffrey Adler, winner of the 2021 CrossFit Open.

Each of the three Atom kits—Axis, Fly, and Power—functions as a complete home gym, custom-built to the user’s ability level and space limitations, with every piece of equipment needed to follow the Atomic training program. Many of the classic strength training pieces included with the Atom kits have been re-engineered from the ground up by RPM, and are manufactured or built in the USA.

The Axis Kit contains a plyobox, dumbbells (2), sandbag, kettlebell, and jump rope, in addition to a full set of smaller accessory pieces: a core mat, training mat, foam roller, myoball, and set of resistance bands. The Fly Kit contains everything in the Axis Kit plus a patent-pending adjustable or fixed pull-up bar and gymnastics rings. The Power Kit contains everything in the Fly Kit plus a barbell, bumper plates, and barbell collars. If a customer already knows their appropriate equipment loading, they can select a kit and check out immediately. If not, a quick assessment process will guide them to the best kit for their needs and skill level.

HitTrax and ProPlayAI Announce Partnership

HitTrax, a global leader in data capture and simulation of advanced baseball/softball metrics, will integrate ProPlayAI’s biomechanical analysis directly into its widely used platform.

InMotion Systems, creator of the HitTrax Data Capture and Simulation System, has teamed up with 3MotionAI, creator of ProPlayAI to bring advanced biomechanics directly into the HitTrax platform. The integration of the two technologies will lead to an unprecedented amount of data available to diamond sport coaches and players.

Capture and analysis of pitched and batted ball data has been widely adopted within the baseball and softball community. The promise of combining this result-driven data with biomechanical analysis has been available to only a select few over the past few years. The new product will democratize this data and lead to new advances for coaches and players.

“Motion capture systems are costly, require specialized technicians, and are obtrusive,” stated Reed Hanoun, CEO of 3MotionAI. “Our solution eliminates the need to place sensors or markers on the athlete and the integration with HitTrax negates the need to purchase motion capture hardware. The integrated platform can be operated by coaches of all levels and will bring movement analysis to the masses.”

Mike Donfrancesco, CEO & Founder of HitTrax, adds “combining these technologies brings further insight into what makes a player excel. We can now tell you, for example, the optimal angle between shoulders and pelvis needed for a hitter to achieve their maximum exit velocity. This is ‘next level analysis’ and will become a standard on how to improve performance.” HitTrax official release is expected in early 2022.

@Compex Performance-3.0

Compex takes training and muscle recovery to the next level with its offering of the new stimulator kits for three levels of athletes: Sport Elite, Performance and Edge.

Compex, a global leader in muscle stimulator technology, is taking muscle warm-up, recovery, injury prevention, strength training and pain management to the next level with its new, redesigned Wired 3.0 muscle stimulation device. The improved muscle stimulator offers three kits to suit different levels of athlete capabilities – Sport Elite, Performance, and Edge. Each of the three kits features an assortment of programs to assist in relieving pain, increasing strength and faster recovery. The Sport Elite™ offers the most programs with 10; the Performance offers six programs; and the Edge kit has four.

The compact, portable electrical stimulator features a water-resistant silicone sleeve that improves grip and protects from sweat and spills. For a faster and easier recovery, the new Compex devices feature an updated LCD display, center navigation button and integrated pad placement suggestions. A Lithium Ion battery provides up to eight hours of stimulation and can be easily recharged anywhere with the USB cable that is included.

Active Recovery program facilitates relaxation aid of muscles and helps reduce muscle soreness and stiffness following competition or demanding workouts. The Competition Recovery / Recovery Plus program oes not contract the muscle. It allows fresh oxygen and nutrients to be delivered to the muscles, helping to clear lactic acid and increase blood flow through low frequency twitches; good for muscles that are fatigued from delayed onset of muscle soreness (DOMS).

With Muscle Relaxation / Massage, the electrostimulation develops the blood capillary network of the exposed muscles. This helps improve irrigation and oxygenation. The Potentiation program is recommended before a workout or competition, especially for sports requiring speed and velocity. Applied briefly just before the beginning of a competition, it offers immediate, well potentiated muscle fibers and optimal level of performance. Pain Relief / TENS helps decrease the intensity of pain and increase motion function.

@Sportneer Smart Scale

Sportneer Introduces the Brand’s First Smart Scale to Provide Personalized Body Composition Analysis

New Sportneer Smart Scale provides metrics including weight, muscle-fat analysis, water and mineral levels

When it comes to weight tracking, whether you’re looking to slim down or bulk up, information is power. Sportneer, the maker of fitness gear backed by the science of sport engineering, today introduced the Sportneer Smart Scale, which uses sensor technology to measure far beyond just numeric weight and capture body composition data for a detailed health report, providing valuable insights to support everyone’s unique wellness and fitness journeys.

While a traditional scale provides just a number, the Sportneer Smart Scale delivers detailed insights to help users better understand their body and create a personalized approach to fitness and weight management, whether they are trying to lose weight, gain muscle or something in-between. The Smart Scale pairs seamlessly with the Sportneer mobile app via Bluetooth and Wifi connection, automatically transferring information from the scale’s health report to a smartphone. After the data is delivered to a mobile device, the Sportneer App will customize exercise recommendations from a video library based on an individual’s body composition.

“Weight tracking is as personal as it gets and because every single body is different, what works for one person may not work for another. With the new Sportneer Smart Scale, we would like Americans to feel good about stepping on the scale and be eager to learn more about their bodies for a more customized, intentional approach to weight management and fitness,” said Eric He, Founder and CEO of Sportneer Global. “When paired with the resources in our Sportneer mobile app, we want to show Americans that this product is a tool for a more personalized fitness journey, at home and at an accessible price point.”
