It was in the winter of 2016 that Michael Menendez from Seattle-based Flux Design Co. envisioned the Track1. The track-drive is the first of its kind, extraordinarily unique due to the traction of a tank combined with smooth handling. This is an all-season, all- terrain vehicle comparable to a personal ATV. It can ride snow, sand, dirt, and street, says the inventor of the world’s most capable off-road eBoard, now in a prototype stage with a funding campaign on indiegogo.

The riding experience of the TRACK1 is similar to a surfboard and snowboard, you lean with your whole body. Depending on therider’s weight, the terrain type, and the average speed the boards range is 8-15 miles per a full charge. Depending on the terrainbeing ridden the board can travel at speeds up to 20 mph. Track1 uses the motor and reduction to slow down, and even lock upthe track. The brakes are very good. The eboard can be equipped with very powerful LED headlights for night riding.

“Its fluid and responsive to a riders motions making for a fluid and enjoyable riding style. The tracks patented tire-like form factor allows for deep carving angles giving a rider the feeling of turning on a bank, and because the board is driven from the rear a rider can use the thrust to intentionally over-steer making for a more dramatic turn… like drifting off-road. Thrust can also assists when riding out of hard turns,” says Flux Design team.

Track technology hasn’t changed significantly over the past couple of decades, but recent advancements in battery technology and aerospace materials make this an ideal time for advancements. The Flux track is built from the ground up. A proprietary mixture of polymers and composites allow for a lightweight and durable track.

The utility handlebars are a good option for those who are new to board riding, or just need more utility from the TRACK1. The handlebars are made from aluminum, chromoly and carbon fiber for a little flexibility and maximum durability. Perfect for beginners or advanced riders, the handlebars open new opportunities for the TRACK1.
