Concord’s signature 1980 Mariner Collection re-launched

Concord Docks with the new Mariner Collection.

Looking after a younger clientele seeking an alternative watch with lots of personality, Concord Swiss watch manufacturer re-launched its signature 1980’s Mariner Collection at Baselworld 2014 Watch & Jewelry Fair.

Inspired by the chic and sophisticated marina lifestyle, the new Mariner Collection captures the essence of today’s casual yet elegant dress code for both men and women. Each Concord Mariner bears a distinctive wind-rose logo, a depiction of the graphic tool used by meteorologists to provide a succinct view of how wind speed and direction are distributed at a specific location. The wind-rose represents the Concord Mariner’s attitude of pointing men and women in the direction of the pleasures associated with marina life – time filled with a wealth of relaxed moments and an enticingly adventurous spirit.

The stylized collection has been extended for men to include a 41mm stainless steel automatic version with a sober anthracite dial and fine Sellita self-winding movement with a 42-hour power reserve. Its stainless steel counterpart sporting a gleaming silver-toned dial is equipped with an ETA quartz movement with 94-month battery life. Both models are water resistant to 50 metres.
