Brabus C-Class tuning

The latest C-Class Brabus. The BRABUS refinement program for the new C-Class.

The latest Mercedes-Benz compact executive sedan has a package of improvements from the German tuning and bespoke customization company Brabus.

Called “a refinement program that leaves nothing to be desired, Brabus package includes specially designed front and rear spoilers, bespoke 20-inch alloy wheels, and more aggressive air intakes. Like usually, the Mercedes Benz three-pointed star was replaced with the Brabus ‘B’ badge on the front grille.

Engine tuning and suspension options offer added vehicle dynamics. Custom interior design rounds out the product line-up for the W 205 model series.

For more than 35 years, sporty-elegant design has been a trademark of BRABUS. Body components that shine not only with visual appeal, but above all with aerodynamic efficiency, were developed in the wind tunnel. All components are manufactured of high-grade PUR plastics. The BRABUS styling package for the C-Class models in standard and AVANTGARDE specification or equipped with the EXCLUSIVE package will hit the market in a first step.

The sportily styled BRABUS front spoiler lends the C-Class a more striking face. But more than that: the aerodynamic-enhancement component also minimizes negative lift on the front axle and in so doing improves handling stability at high speeds. Its aerodynamic counterpart for the rear is a discreet spoiler lip that BRABUS offers for the trunk lid.

The front of the C-Class models with standard-spec or AVANTGARDE front bumper can be further upgraded with BRABUS air intakes that add emphasis to the design of the side air intakes.

The strikingly styled BRABUS rocker panels create an aerodynamically ideal transition between the wheel arches. These body components are also optionally available with integrated LED entry lights.

The diffuser-look BRABUS insert for the rear bumper lends the rear a sportier appearance. What’s more: the two cutouts on the left and right side provide the perfect backdrop for BRABUS quad sport exhaust system.

BRABUS offers the world’s most extensive engine tuning program for Mercedes-Benz automobiles. In a first step the BRABUS PowerXtra B20.2 performance kit will be available for the gasoline-powered C 200. It involves the adaptation of a plug-and-play auxiliary control unit to the engine electronics. To retain the engine’s durability and longevity, this tuning kit is designed to only use the performance-enhancing mapping once all parameters such as engine temperature etc. are in the green. This effectively prevents the performance increase from negatively affecting the engine’s service life. It goes without saying that the engine complies with the strict EURO VI emissions standards even after installation of the tuning kit.

Once the BRABUS PowerXtra B20.2 performance kit is installed, the four-cylinder turbo engine pumps out an extra 30 kW / 41 hp (40 bhp) and also delivers 30 Nm (22 lb-ft) more torque. Consequently the tuned sedan sprints from 0 – 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 7.0 seconds, and reaches a top speed of 242 km/h (150 mph).

The BRABUS PowerXtra D3 performance kit for the Mercedes C 220 BlueTEC will be available shortly. Its installation boosts the power output of the four-cylinder turbodiesel engine by 36 kW / 50 hp (48 bhp). Peak torque jumps to 450 Nm (332 lb-ft). The sprint time from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) is shortened to 7.1 seconds. Top speed increases to 240 km/h (149 mph).
