At the exclusive gala in Munich’s BMW Welt, the expert jury awarded prizes for the best jewelry and watch entries.

Inhorgenta Munich was the international meeting place for the jewelry, timepiece and gemstone industry for four days in February. Around 26,000 trade visitors from more than 80 countries attended the event in Munich from February 14 to 17 and experienced a diverse range of brands, top-flight talks and a dazzling supporting program. The Inhorgenta Awards Gala was fully sold out: Around 500 guests were there to see the coveted trophy presented in eight categories. As is tradition, the focus was on the winners and their innovative designs, but the industry also used the gala evening to network intensively.

Fine Jewelry – winner: A. Odenwald

The winner of the INHORGENTA AWARD 2020 in the category Fine Jewelry convinces with its feminine design language, pleasant feel and timeless, puristic design. The winner was the statement piece “CHLOÉ” by A. Odenwald with a 2.53 carat diamond setting all round.

The winner of the INHORGENTA AWARD 2020 in the category Fashion Jewelry meets the spirit of the times with his tough charisma and high individuality. The winner was Bernd Wolf with the perfectly balanced “SWING” bangle, which is set with lapis lazuli and zirconia.

The winner of the INHORGENTA AWARD 2020 in the Designer of the Year category impresses with its innovative basic idea, amazing wearing comfort and simple coolness. The winner was Jutta Ulland with the unusual ring “Turn yourself”, which skilfully focuses on two fingers of your hand.

Design Newcomer of the Year – winner: Jiayi Zhang

The winner of the INHORGENTA AWARD 2020 in the category Design Newcomer of the Year combines playful beauty with modern elegance to create a true statement piece. The winner was Jiayi Zhang with the necklace “Jin zhi yu ye”, which translated means “golden branches and jade leaves” and tells a story about girls in China.

Watch Design of the Year winner: Frederique Constant

The winner of the INHORGENTA AWARD 2020 in the Watch Design of the Year category shows the complexity of watchmaking. The winner was the “Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar Manufacture” by Frederique Constant, which features a perpetual calendar and a perfectly balanced tourbillon cage and is limited to only 88 pieces worldwide.

Next-Generation Retail – winner: Juwelier Vogl

The winner of the INHORGENTA AWARD 2020 in the category Next Generation Retail impresses with an innovative, consistent customer journey and a holistically coherent brand presence. The winner was Juwelier Vogl, who integrated digital elements such as product information via RFID technology into proven sales processes, thus creating a charming, forward-looking symbiosis and a new shopping experience.
