2017 Cannes Yachting Festival: Aeroboat S6 – a majestic line of yachts powered by Rolls-Royce

Rolls-Royce engines will power a new range of Aeroboat yachts, chosen for outstanding acceleration and low fuel consumption.

British luxury nautical brand Aeroboat will be exhibiting at the 2017 Cannes boat show, as the Festival celebrates its 40th anniversary. With a prominent position within the Palais Des Festivals, Aeroboat will present its Aeroboat S6 powered by Rolls-Royce from 12th – 17th September.

Aeroboat powered by Rolls-Royce is a quintessential British brand

Together with a strong design by Claydon Reeves and naval architecture by BMT Nigel Gee, each model in the Aeroboat range promises a nautical experience unlike any other. The first in the high-end line is the Aeroboat SV12, formerly known as the Aeroboat 50ft. This is the smallest and most performance focused in the range, powered by a fully marinised Rolls-Royce V12 Merlin engine. Since its launch in 2013, the boat has been developed and further engineered to deliver an exhilarating experience.

“Launched at the 2017 SuperYacht Gallery in London, Aeroboat is a quintessential British brand offering a superior and effortless experience at sea. Underpinned by a strong philosophy and heritage, Aeroboat provides the ultimate way to travel thanks in part to its powered by Rolls-Royce status.”

The SV12 provided the base from which to develop the highly anticipated Aeroboat S6, a 65ft yacht with carefully considered space above and below deck. A grand cabin forward with expansive windows offers a generous space for guests to enjoy and can easily be transformed into a master suite should an owner wish to stay on board. The shower room, dayhead and galley are of a size more commonly found on larger yachts, while the main passageway provides access to a second cabin and a tender garage that can house a 3.8m tender or a couple of Jetskis.

Depending on the specification of the S6 — which is available as a hardtop, fixed bimini or open cockpit — guests can enjoy al fresco dining amidships, with sun loungers located either side of the wide passageway leading aft to the passerelle. When deployed, it connects to the Aerostairs — a custom engineered unit the width of the transom that can extend the swim platform, rise to meet with the passerelle or lower below the waves for easy access to the water.

At the heart of the S6 are a pair of MTU V10 2000 M96 engines, part of the Rolls-Royce family. The Series 2000 M96 engines are the

units to come from MTU and meet current emission regulations while offering outstanding acceleration and low fuel consumption.

Zoom out, and the groundbreaking NASA-derived technology of the Gigapixel image allows you to explore and experience the city panorama in intricate detail, while beyond it the curvature of the earth is visible.

Zoom in and the image will take you in sharp focus, through the landscape, right up to the instantly recognisable bonnet badge of the Flying Spur. The extraordinary new Gigapixel image is testament to Bentley’s renowned attention to detail.

With the new Gigapixel image, viewers can also explore the Flying Spur W12 S inside and out with a 360-degree film narrated by John Paul Gregory, Bentley’s Head of Exterior Design

“Gregory talks to the audience from inside the car; the stunning Bentley Suite in the The St. Regis Dubai; and the new flagship Bentley retailer on the famous Sheikh Zayed road. The stunning photograph rewards the discerning eye with an intense exploration both of Dubai and Bentley,” explained the British manufacturer and marketer of luxury cars and SUVs.
