Maison Martin Margiela Crystalactite

Atelier Swarovski by Maison Martin Margiela.

For the 4th year in a row, haute couture collective from Maison Martin Margiela participated in Miami Art Basel and worked with French Artist Baptiste Debombourg on an exclusive on-site installation. Made out of cascading layers of shattered glass, the installation entitled ‘Stalker’ celebrated the launch of our ‘Crystalactite’ jewellery collection created in collaboration with Atelier Swarovski.

Five crystal jewelry and accessories pieces are featuring new Crystalactite fusion technology from Swarovski Elements. The collection consists of a stunning pendant, ring, and bracelet, each displaying Maison Martin Margiela’s signature clean-lined asymmetry, lit up with Swarovski’s famous sparkle.

The jewelry’s unique identity lies in the technique with which it is made: each Swarovski crystal is fused with matt white resin before it is cut, thus resulting in a perfect asymmetric crystal, inspired by the shape of stalactites.

Maison Martin Margiela showed how the five Crystalactite Haute Couture jewelry pieces can be turned into amazingly versatile accessories. A specially integrated clip mechanism enables them to be worn on the hair, clothing, or footwear, giving an eclectic, cutting-edge look that is way ahead of its time.

This month marked the launch of the Maison Martin Margiela partnership with Globe-Trotter, exclusively for Japan. Playing with the emblematic “trompe l’œil” concept and inspired by antique trunks, the limited edition luggage collection is now available at Isetan.
