Limited edition and “street-legal” – Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Squadra Corse

Italian supercar maker Lamborghini came to Frankfurt IAA, 2013 Frankfurt International Motor Show, with the new Gallardo Squadra Corse. Priced at €191,100 and equipped with the same 570hp V10 engine as the original Super Trofeo, Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Squadra Corse is a limited edition, “street-legal” version of Lamborghini’s famous race car.

The race car for the open road consumes 13.5L/100km over a mixed driving cycle. This appetite is justified by performances like acceleration from 0 to 100km/h in just 3.4s and a top speed of 320km/h.

The name Squadra Corse refers to the recently-founded department within Automobili Lamborghini, which manages all motorsport activities from GT3 to the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo championships in Europe, Asia and America where gentlemen drivers battle face-to-face in fierce contests on the most challenging racetracks.

“Esperienza” events by the Squadra Corse deparment provide enthusiasts and prospects with the opportunity of a first test-drive and a glimpse inside the world of Lamborghini. The Lamborghini Academies, on both track and ice, provide driver training and the initial steps toward real-life racing. The Super Trofeo series offers the perfect first race experience for young and gentlemen drivers, with the Lamborghini GT3 for more seasoned racers wishing to compete with the Lamborghini marque worldwide.

The 65th Frankfurt Motor Show opens to the public September 12 to 22.
