Giorgio Armani Mr Porter Capsule: The 23-piece capsule collection is available exclusively on Mr Porter.
Giorgio Armani’s timeless and effortless response to tailoring is now more vital than ever, providing wearable and laid-back suiting with a modern twist. The spring ready-to-wear collection features unstructured suiting and casual lightweight layers of the utmost quality and craft, presented in a palette of deep blues, soft greys and neutral creams.
Few do tailoring quite like Mr Giorgio Armani – the Italian designer cut his teeth at labels like Nino Cerruti and Allegri before establishing his eponymous house in 1975. Ideal for the warmer months, the Double-Breasted Mélange Linen Suit Jacket is constructed from pure linen that has a naturally slubbed texture and offers plenty of breathability. It’s cut with sharp peak lapels and is darted through the front line to subtly draw in the waist.
One hallmark of Giorgio Armani’s gold-standard tailoring is its ability to execute suiting in any fabric, and the linen trousers (Mélange Linen Suit Trousers) are as meticulous as you’ll find. Neatly cut, they have single pleats at the top for shape and sharp pressed creases through the leg. The cloth has a slightly neppy handle, which highlights the subtle grey mélange finish.
Woven with a herringbone motif, the new trench coat from Giorgio Armani has traditional hallmarks such as a buckled throat latch, storm flap and detachable belt.
As well as excelling at formalwear, Giorgio Armani has a flair for handsome knitwear. The sweater has been made in Italy from a luxurious blend of silk, cashmere and linen in contrasting chevrons. It has a comfortable fit and is fine enough to layer under the label’s relaxed tailoring.
The Slim-Fit Striped Cotton and Silk-Blend Shirt shirt is precision-cut from cotton that’s woven with silk for a natural sheen and decorated with linear stripes. Wear it solo or layered under a relaxed blazer.
