Giambattista Valli gives his Haute Couture creations a unique glow by pairing them with Chopard Haute Joaillerie.

Haute Couture and Haute Joaillerie share inspired creativity, exceptional materials, unique artisanal expertise and a ceaseless quest for perfection. For the first time, Chopard jewellery models adorned Giambattista Valli’s models during his Haute Couture runway show.

Italian fashion designer Giambattista Valli worked for Roberto Capucci, Fendi and Emmanuel Ungaro before creating his own ready-to-wear House in 2004. In January 2011, he made a remarkable entry into the exclusive circle of Parisian Haute Couture by being invited by the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture to hold a runway show as a “guest member”. Buoyed by his success, he joined the official Haute Couture calendar as of 2012.

Chopard is a “jeweller” member of the Fédération française de la Haute Couture et de la Mode and as such is invited to exhibit its creations as part of the official calendar of shows presentations during the Paris Couture Week. At each new edition, the Maison unveils its latest treasures, brilliantly combining mastery of jewellery- making skills with the latest technical innovations.

Impressed by the latest models to emerge from the Chopard Haute Joaillerie ateliers, the famous Italian fashion designer asked Caroline Scheufele, Chopard Artistic Director and Co-Director, to enhance the creations for the Haute Couture runway show by pairing them with these precious treasures.

The Haute Joaillerie models selected by Giambattista Valli included several exceptional creations. Having fallen under the spell of a set of incredibly rare 17 non-oil Colombian emeralds, ardent gem-lover Caroline Scheufele designed a stunning necklace alternating these emeralds with equally pure D-flawless diamonds – the largest of which is an over 20-carat pear-shaped gem.

In the same majestic vein, one notes 18-carat white gold rings topped by splendid white and yellow diamonds, with light bouncing endless of their facets. Emerald and diamond necklaces pay tribute to traditional gemsetting techniques, combining a dainty diamond lacework with exceptional emeralds.
