Air-Elf Aircraft Concept designed by Yinze Hu has “Air Caterpillar” – a new type of wings which combine the advantages of both the jet aircraft and helicopter and can be transformed in order to meet the needs of flexibility and speed of the aircraft. Highly transformable, the vehicle can meet the vertical takeoff, landing, parking and high-speed cruising requirements. Air Elf was born after extensive research in aerodynamics, material, energy and aircraft design. The project won the entry prize of Lotus Prize 2010 and will solve the future congestion road problems.
