For marine and timepiece aficionados: Ulysse Nardin Schooner

Ulysse Nardin’s new Schooner chronograph is limited to 50 units, is coated with navy blue rubber and finished with a sapphire crystal case back.

1851
was a year of greatness for the yachting industry, as a schooner, named “America,” sailed past its competition to win a race with significant margin, due to its innovative new design. The victory resulted in the creation of the America’s Cup challenge, which has continued to evolve throughout the years to become the most prestigious of sailboat races. Luxury Swiss watch manufacturer Ulysse Nardin (founded in 1846), has created an exclusive limited edition timepiece that embodies a great parallel to the unique design of the original schooner.

The Schooner chronograph sails ahead of its competition with the use of advancements in watchmaking technology. The timepiece guides with exact precision and durability, and is water resistant up to 200 meters. Limited to 50 units, the piece has a 45.8 mm diameter case made from stainless steel. It is coated with navy blue rubber and finished with a sapphire crystal case back.

“There is a level of precision and detail that is unprecedented in watchmaking when it comes to the way Ulysse Nardin manufactures its timepieces,” said Nelson Lucero, vice president of sales and marketing for Ulysse Nardin.

The limited edition luxury timepiece retails for $15,500.
