Naumatec, the brand specialized in building extra-luxury and custom-made tender for Mega yachts, acquired by Nuova Jolly Marine in 2016,announces a relevant new addition for the 2018 yachting season.
The new Naumatec E-Tender 460 was presented at the 2017 Cannes Yachting Festival.
E-Tender 460 is the first Naumatec tender powered by a sterndrive electric engine developed by Huracan, an Italian company based in Campalto (VE). The “E-Tender 460” was designed by Federico Fiorentino, a well-known yacht and maxi-rib designer, as well as Naumatec founder and designer.
The new boat is not only extremely silent but is offers the luxury of zero emissions. Furthermore, this tender does not create problems with stowage in mega yachts, requires very little maintenance and has access to protected marine areas where it is prohibited to navigate with a traditional thermal engine.
“E-Tender 460” is built with the infusion technology of resin in vacuum, a methodology that ensures not only greater mechanical strength with a smaller weight of the product, but also a substantial reduction of inputs In atmosphere (VOC, Volatile Organic Substances) during rolling.
The “E-tender 460” measures 4.60 x 2.00 meters LOA. It can carry up to 6 people and has a dry weight of 480 kg if equipped with a 15 kW single engine battery and 620 Kg with the best performance engine of 30 kW and two batteries.
The “E-Tender 460” hull has been specially developed for this model and for this type of propulsion in order to ensure high performance, low energy absorption and high maneuverability even in confined spaces. For this purpose, Huracan has developed, specifically for Naumatec, an innovative mobile stern drive equipped with a trim that can guarantee a very low steering radius and a remarkable handling even in reverse.
