Manish Arora’s Life is Beautiful Cars & Fashion exhibition at Paris Auto Show 2014

For the 2014 Paris Auto Show-Le Mondial de l’Automobile, Indian designer Manish Arora created an Alcantara fantasy house that glows in blue light to convey feelings of happiness and beauty. Alcantara’s “Life is Beautiful” one-of-a-kind fashion collection is part of the Cars & Fashion exhibition at Le Mondial de l’Automobile 2014 in Paris, France (Oct. 4-19).

Manish Arora also designed three handcrafted Alcantara skirts with different interpretations of the avant-garde material and its aesthetic, functional and sensory qualities. The skirts have unique Arora design elements: one with cars on winding roads; another with gummy bears, flowers, candies and hearts, and a third with fluorescent Arora design characteristics.

“Life is beautiful…innocent yet fierce,” said Arora. “Dwelling on Alcantara’s DNA of colors, embroideries and happiness, I reflected on my own way of life and of thinking …whatever happens.”

The exhibition is available for public viewing until Oct. 19.
