The new Frauscher × Porsche 850 Fantom Air is a sleek and compact electric sports boat. crafted to redefine your lake and sea adventures.

Porsche has long been synonymous with high-performance automobiles, but the iconic brand is now setting sail on a new journey of luxury and sustainability. Collaborating with Frauscher Shipyard, Porsche is introducing the Frauscher × Porsche 850 Fantom Air, a revolutionary electric sports boat set to redefine your aquatic adventures. This sleek and compact watercraft combines Porsche’s performance-driven ethos with cutting-edge sustainability, promising an unparalleled experience on the open water.

Performance Meets Sustainability

Porsche’s dedication to merging performance and sustainability extends beyond the roads, finding a new dimension on the water with the Frauscher × Porsche 850 Fantom Air. Drawing inspiration from their upcoming all-electric Porsche Macan, this electric yacht boasts remarkable handling characteristics and exhilarating performance. It’s a testament to Porsche’s relentless pursuit of excellence in every realm of transportation.

Interestingly, Porsche’s venture into maritime pursuits isn’t entirely new. In 1959, the company unveiled the type 729 boat engine, which was based on the four-cylinder boxer engine found in the Porsche 356, albeit with a limited output of 52 PS.

Lutz Meschke, Deputy Chairman and Member of the Executive Board for Finance and IT at Porsche AG, expressed the brand’s commitment to luxury and sustainability, saying, “We stand for state-of-the-art, high-performance, and sustainable luxury – and we are redefining this concept. Our goal is to inspire our customers and make their dreams come true. The Frauscher × Porsche 850 Fantom Air, like our sports cars, offers exceptional performance and luxury experiences.”

Cutting-Edge Technology on the Water

Porsche has ingeniously adapted its advanced drive technology for use on the water, incorporating components from the Premium Platform Electric (PPE), which underpins the forthcoming electric Macan. Key components include a high-voltage lithium-ion battery with approximately 100 kWh of capacity, a state-of-the-art permanently excited synchronous electric motor (PSM) with a peak output of 400 kW, and the necessary power electronics.

Much like Porsche’s land-based vehicles, the Frauscher × Porsche offers multiple driving modes, including Docking, Range, Sport, and Sport Plus, allowing drivers to tailor their experience to their liking.

Thanks to Porsche’s cutting-edge 800-volt technology, this electric boat can be charged at DC fast-charging stations with over 250 kW of DC current. Under optimal conditions, the battery can charge from 10 percent to 80 percent in less than 30 minutes. Standard AC charging at home or high-voltage sockets is also supported, with an 11-kW charger included.

Porsche’s dedication to luxury extends to every detail of the Frauscher × Porsche 850 Fantom Air.

Studio F. A. Porsche in Zell am See, Austria, was tasked with designing the helmstand, which features an authentic Porsche sports steering wheel. The upper level of the instrument panel boasts five analog gauges, imparting a classic Porsche aesthetic while providing essential data. The redesigned front seats, crafted by Studio F. A. Porsche, offer superior lateral support and draw inspiration from Porsche’s sports car seats, featuring raised backrests, integrated headrests, and an embroidered crest.

The Frauscher × Porsche 850 Fantom Air retains the 8.67-meter-long and 2.49-meter-wide hull of the Frauscher 858 Fantom Air day cruiser, providing ample space for up to nine passengers. A rear swimming platform leads to a spacious lounge area with two comfortable sunbathing pads. A central aisle connects the back of the boat to the free-standing helm and cockpit, while two additional upholstered benches in the front invite passengers to relax in style.

A Limited First Edition

For those eager to make a splash in style, Porsche plans to produce an exclusive first edition of only 25 units, available for pre-order directly from Frauscher.
