Berluti has unveiled Berluti for HER – a capsule collection dedicated for the first time to women.
Stolen from Men: Berluti is launching in women’s footwear. You can also slip the Un Jour Gulliver bag on your arm, leading you to conclude, without a shadow of a doubt, that Berluti elegance suits any gender.
Associated with unique elegance in men’s footwear, Berluti luxury house also attracted a number of extraordinary women. Greta Garbo, Patti Smith and, more recently Sophie Marceau, all ordered made-to-measure Berluti shoes. This popularity among celebrities sparked interest in iconic men’s styles with a distinctly light and feminine touch.
This is how Berluti’s first collection for women was born. Berluti has unveiled a capsule collection featuring five ready-to-wear shoe styles set to become musts in a chic women’s wardrobe. The Classic Chelsea Boot, the Alessandro lace-up, Andy loafer, Classic Sicilia slip-on, and the new Contrast Oxford have now versions for ladies.
“Berluti, the elegant man’s ally for over a century, has never truly forsaken women. Over the years and as opportunities arose, we have shod the likes of Sophie Marceau, Patti Smith and Greta Garbo…and have dreamt of slipping shoes onto countless other female feet. Thus it is that, for a single winter season, we have designed a special Women’s Capsule Collection,” explained Berluti house.
The collection is available from October 8 in a “Stolen from Men” space in Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche, as well as a pop-up store in the shoes department.
The new Berluti for Her range is not related to the appointment of Haider Ackermann as Creative Director. The designer will present his first collection during Paris Men’s Fashion Week in January 2017.
