World Superyacht Award won by Truly Classic 127 Atalante in the sailing Yachts 30m-39.9m category.
The Burgess-managed Truly Classic 127 Atalante 38.7m (127ft) has triumphed at the 2016 World Superyacht Awards in the Sailing Yachts 30m-39.9m category.
Held at a ceremony in Florence, Italy, Atalante luxury classic yacht reigned supreme over strong competition in her category, with the other finalists named as DORYAN (Baltic Yachts), NIKATA (Baltic yacht Ltd), SEAWAVE (Southern Wind Shipyard) and the Swan 115 S.
Launched last summer (2015), the sailing yacht from Hoek Designs and constructed at Claasen Shipyard combines 1930’s elegance with superb sailing performance. The Neptune prize recognises the ingenuity and innovation demanded by the design, engineering and construction of the world’s finest luxury yachts and this is evident throughout Atalante’S fine in- and exterior. She boasts accommodation for six guests across three luxurious cabins and offers ample deck space for relaxing and al fresco dining.
The owner of Atalante expressed is pleasure to Claasen Shipyard following the announcement of the award saying, “I wanted the new Atalante to be a faster successor to my previous Truly Classic 90, without in any way losing the feeling of closeness to the water or the ability to spin the yacht on a sixpence when racing. The build process was great fun and the yard put a great deal of effort into getting every detail right. Atalante performs even better than my highest expectations and this award is a testimony to the dedication and skill of everyone involved.”
The sailing yacht will be available to charter this summer in the Mediterranean or, watch her in all her glory as she competes in the 20th year of the prestigious Superyacht Cup Palma held 22 June 2016.
