Kris Wu x Gentle Monster = Gentle Wu

 

 

Gentle Wu is Gentle Monster’s collaboration with global artist Kris Wu. Inspired by the life and personality of Kris, Gentle Wu was designed to embody Kris’s characteristics and charm through four distinct styles.

GENTLE WU features a balance of classic and modern designs accentuated with a chrome signature GW logo. The multifaceted collection is ranging from the shield type GW 001 to the versatile square GW 004.

GW 002 03 (BK) (USD 330.00) is a rectangular gold metal frame. This Gentle Monster style is highlighted by a double bridge on the frame front along with a bold oval ring on the right lens. The 100% UV protected black lenses are contrasted by acetate temples with signature ‘GW’ logos.

GW 001 02 (BK) is a goggle style frame embellished with crescent shaped metal details. GW 003 01 features a bold cat-eye frame with signature temple tips. The GW 004 01 (USD 269.00) is versatile square Flatba frame with distinct curves. This style in black was crafted for all occasions, featuring 100% UV protected lenses and signature ‘GW’ logos.

On July 18th, Gentle Monster opened ‘THE ROLLER pop-up space ’ in Shanghai. The enthralling roller rink, ‘THE ROLLER’ is inspired by Chris Wu’s hobby of speed racing and completed with the concept of parking lot.

 

Last week, Gentle Monster presented ‘Redefinition of Eyewear’, the latest project exploring the endless possibilities of eyewear.

By questioning the definition and nature of eyewear, this project hopes to break away from the conventional meaning that eyewear holds but opens up door to new ideas and concepts. ‘Redefinition of Eyewear’ presents a series of collaborations with nine global artists.
