Officine Universelle Buly opens new boutique and coffee shop in Kobe.

Officine Universelle Buly is a luxury brand known for its high-quality and beautifully designed skincare, fragrance, and beauty products. The brand was founded in 1803 by Jean-Vincent Bully and was revived by Ramdane Touhami and his wife Victoire de Taillac in 2014.

Officine Universelle Buly is known for its commitment to using natural and organic ingredients in their products, many of which are sourced from around the world. They offer a wide range of skincare products, including facial creams, serums, and masks, as well as body lotions and oils. They also have a range of fragrances, including perfumes, candles, and diffusers, as well as a selection of beauty accessories, such as combs and brushes.

In addition to their high-quality products, Officine Universelle Buly is also known for their beautiful packaging and attention to detail. Their products come in vintage-style glass bottles and jars, with elegant labels and intricate designs, which make them highly collectible and sought-after by beauty enthusiasts and collectors.

Officine Universelle Buly has unveiled a new address in the old city of Kobe, Japan. The shimmering imperial green patinas of the façade are adorned with a contrasting marbled frieze crowning a unique architectural concept infused with striking references and paired with a café.

Echoing the concept introduced at its rue Saintonge address in Paris, the Officine Universelle Buly Kobe features both sweets and fragrances.

The two spaces come alive with architectural creativity thanks to the design by founder Ramdane Touhami, who once again breaks with uniformity, combining his imagination with a Japanese ethos.

Floor to ceiling shelves in walnut, oak and elm plus lacquered cabinets are crafted by a master cabinet maker from Burgundy, while paintings, shellac and decorative paint streaks have been created by a Japanese ornamental painter. Speckled slabs of marble reference the famous cuts of Kobe beef.

Officine Universelle Buly delights visitors with eclectic architectural and aesthetic disruption, dotted with gleaming Italian coffee machines and mouthwatering French delicacies.

The brand’s plant oils have been given a new 30ml format and the Cosmos reference to make them easier to carry and to serve your beauty. A new bottle of small size but of great utility.

Officine Universelle Buly became part of LVMH in 2019. The acquisition was announced in January of that year, and it marked LVMH’s continued expansion into the luxury beauty market. The founder of Officine Universelle Buly, Ramdane Touhami, remained as Creative Director after the acquisition, and the brand continued to operate under its own name and identity.

By joining LVMH, Officine Universelle Buly gained access to the resources and expertise of one of the world’s largest luxury conglomerates. LVMH has a strong track record of supporting and developing luxury brands, and its portfolio includes many of the world’s most iconic names in fashion, beauty, and lifestyle. The acquisition also provided Officine Universelle Buly with the opportunity to expand its global reach and to continue to innovate and grow as a leading luxury beauty brand.
