This Fall, Swiss luxury watch manufacturer H. Moser & Cie is bringing the minimalist and sleek integrated bracelet design of the Streamliner to a three-hand automatic that’s unmistakably Moser. The Streamliner Centre Seconds sets a new milestone for H. Moser & Cie.

It’s finally here. Meet the second member of H. Moser & Cie Streamliner watch collection, the Streamliner Centre Seconds. Crafted in a 40mm steel case with integrated mono-link bracelet and paired with a Matrix Green fumé dial – a new color for the luxury watch manufacture with a warm green hue.

H. Moser & Cie. unveils the Streamliner Centre Seconds, which follows the self-winding Flyback chronograph launched in January 2020 as the second model in the Streamliner collection. “Streamliner” is a reference to the first high-speed trains from the Twenties and Thirties, whose rounded curves these models re-interpret. This new watch model focuses on the essential: hours, minutes, centre seconds. Equipped with a steel case  on an integrated steel bracelet, the aesthetic of the Streamliner Centre Seconds is perfectly harmonious, from its ideal proportions and fluid forms to its high-end finishes. It is paired with a brand-new and uniquely elegant fumé dial in Matrix Green.

A staple classic, the 3-hand watch requires expertise of the very highest level, as it is the details that elevate a piece. Balanced, precise
proportions are the key to harmony, and the Streamliner Centre Seconds perfectly illustrates this philosophy. Featuring a 40.0-mm steel cushion case, which is water-resistant to 12 ATM, it offers extraordinary ergonomics thanks to the design which includes a fully integrated  steel bracelet with no lugs on the case. The case middle has hollowed and satin-finished forms on the sides, and alternating brushed and polished surfaces, in a nod to the traditional unusual shapes typical of Moser cases. It is topped by a subtly domed sapphire crystal, echoed by the see-through case back. Extending these curves, the integrated steel bracelet is elegantly arced to follow the line of the wrist. Highly complex in construction, this bracelet has extremely fluid lines, based on organic forms. All the links are articulated and feature a gentle wave combining a vertical brushed finish with polished surfaces.

Every part of the Streamliner Centre Seconds is in harmony; to further elevate the steel of the case and bracelet, H. Moser & Cie. has created a brand-new fumé dial: almost electric, the vibrant Matrix Green colourway offers a complex palette of shades from olive green to red gold. This brand-new colour dial adds the finishing touch to the timeless elegance of this model. Displaying the hours and minutes, the 3D hands are formed of two sections and feature inserts made from Globolight®, an innovative ceramic-based material which contains Super-LumiNova®. The minute hand is curved.

Beating at the heart of the Streamliner Centre Seconds model is a 100% Swiss mechanical movement: the HMC 200 self-winding calibre.
Entirely designed, developed and produced in-house, this movement is equipped with a regulating organ manufactured by H. Moser & Cie.’s sister company, Precision Engineering AG. Decorated with the famous Moser double stripes, the HMC 200 calibre houses a solid gold oscillating weight and offers a minimum power reserve of 3 days.

Houston We Have an Event: George Clooney and the astronauts

#‎OmegaFirstWatchOnTheMoon‬: George Clooney for Omega Watches.
An evening in space, inspired by OMEGA’s enduring spirit of exploration.
OmegaFirstWatchOnTheMoon 2015 event

45 years ago, the OMEGA Speedmaster Professional played a major role in bringing the three Apollo 13 astronauts back to Earth. The oxygen tank on the Apollo 13 Service Module had exploded and the three astronauts’ lives were in danger. To safely re-enter Earth’s atmosphere, they had to perform several mid-course corrections. With the Lunar Module powered down, the crew used their OMEGA Speedmaster Professionals to time the critical engine burns that realigned the craft for re-entry.

Swiss Luxury Watch Manufacturer OMEGA celebrated the dedication to space travel and its history as the first watch worn on the moon with a stellar event where Omega’s brand ambassador George Clooney joined a host of legendary astronauts. On May the 12th this year, a special event was hosted in Houston, Texas. A huge aircraft hangar was transformed into a starry universe. Among the guests were astronauts Gene Cernan, General Thomas Stafford, Captain James Lovell, prominent members of the Houston community including style icon Lynn Wyatt, philanthropist Becca Cason Thrash, NFL player Chester Pitts, actress Joanna Garcia Swisher as well as a whole host of industry legends.

“This was a time for us in our country when we needed these people to dream.” said George Clooney. “You gentleman are an inspiration to all of us here and I have to tell you what an honor it is to be standing up here with you.”

Clooney was just 8 years old at the time of the first moon landing when the Speedmaster became an instant icon. Known as “The Moonwatch“, it has traveled together with the most courageous and spirited astronauts in history.

Since then, it has accompanied astronauts on all six lunar landings, cementing an indestructible bond between OMEGA and space flight. OMEGA President Stephen Urquhart summed up the unique relationship with the Apollo 13 mission:

“For OMEGA it was an unbelievable story. It could have been a disaster but turned out fantastic and today it’s an incredible part of our heritage.”

OMEGA also introduced a new generation of Speedmaster watches for 2015. The 2015 collection includes a new Speedmaster ’57, the Apollo 13 Silver Snoopy Award, and the radiant White Side of the Moon, inspired by the lunar glow that we see from Earth.

IWC Connect controls the connected environment directly from the wrist.

Intelligent horological tools are the new concern of the Swiss luxury watch manufacturers. IWC Schaffhausen‘s new device called IWC Connect gives wearers control over certain devices connected to the Internet of Things (IoT) and provide fully fledged activity tracking.

Engineered to be integrated into the straps of IWC sports watches, beginning with the Big Pilot’s Watches, the IWC Connect not only tracks the wearer’s activities, but also allows them to interact with connected devices in their environment (IoT).

The idea behind this new innovation is to enable owners of IWC timepieces to control their connected environment directly from the wrist while also maintaining the integrity of a handcrafted mechanical timepiece.

“Seeing that many of our customers and brand ambassadors are wearing connected devices alongside their IWC watches, we chose to work with a like-minded digital technology company to develop an elegant, aesthetically complementary solution that eliminates the need to have additional devices on the opposing wrist to your IWC,” explained Georges Kern, CEO of IWC Schaffhausen. “But, and this is essential, we do not touch our beautiful watches – an ‘IWC’ stays a mechanical handcrafted timepiece. We’ve engineered an intelligent design solution which perfectly integrates and underlines our product worlds.”

Further information and the launch date will be available in the coming months, announced the Swiss luxury watch manufacturer.
