Silver Muse is the newest flagship for the small-ship luxury line Silversea, a family-run company based in Monaco which already dominates the ultra-exclusive cruise market with its fleet of eight boutique vessels. Silversea’s newest liner is already making waves as the most luxurious ship being launched onto the market this year.
2017 TopMarques Supercar Show Monaco has been chosen as the platform for the world’s newest and most luxurious cruise liner to be christened in Monaco on the eve of Top Marques luxury show on April 19th. At 40,700 ton, Silversea’s Silver Muse is much heavier than all of the supercars ever exhibited at the Monaco auto show put together – the average supercar is 1,400 kg.
The ship boasts the most sumptuous staterooms ever seen before on a cruise liner measuring a staggering 1,572 square feet – some 200 square feet larger than the average French apartment.
Silver Muse will have an unprecedented eight restaurants onboard from a Relais & Chateau venue to a jazz club Silver Note. There will also be a pool-side alfresco option. Capable of welcoming 596 guests on board. Silversea Muse will be the biggest liner in the Silversea’s fleet, with the highest number of large suites and space-per-guest ratio. However, in general cruising terms Silver Muse is still considered a boutique ship, and the most intimate in the ultra-luxury marketing ensuring a tailor-made experience shaped around needs and preferences of each guest.
Ahead of its formal christening in Monaco on 19 April 2017, the ultra-luxury ship underwent extensive speed, vibration, noise, endurance and propulsion tests with Silver Muse successfully passing all assessments in accordance with international rules and regulations.
Calling at 34 countries and 130 ports in 2017 alone, Silver Muse will redefine ocean travel, enhancing the small-ship intimacy with spacious all-suite accommodations that are the hallmarks of the Silversea experience. A remarkable 52 UNESCO World Heritage Sites feature in Silver Muse’s 2017 itinerary, from ancient Greek temples through to historic Caribbean fortresses.
The addition of Silver Muse will expand Silversea’s fleet to nine ships and will, once again significantly raise the bar in the ultra-luxury cruise market.
The renowned Italian fabrics supplier Faliero Sarti has created a selection of exclusive scarves to celebrate the launch of the cruise ship. The exclusive prints on each scarf have been designed to reflect the Silversea core values of exploration, luxury and uniqueness. The scarves will be gifted to selected guests at events around the world to celebrate the launch of Silversea’s ninth ship.
