The concept of a fluid passage between indoor and outdoor environments has long been one of the leitmotivs of Minotti’s interior design projects for creating true open-air living areas conceived as an extension of the indoor spaces. Abolishing the strict boundaries between indoor and outdoor is an invitation to experience the full potential of the home and its living spaces, thanks also to the outstanding coherence in terms of style and design of the furniture. The modularity of the various furnishings renders them the ideal components of customised solutions, such as a terrace with a view of the metropolitan skyline, a large garden, a patio overlooking the water or a poolside area in which to feel in harmony with nature.

This concept is reaffirmed by the 2021 Outdoor Collection, coordinated by architect Rodolfo Dordoni with Minotti Studio, and expressed in projects by the brand’s team of international designers, such as Italian-Danish duo GamFratesi, Japanese studio Nendo and Dordoni himself.

Having almost exclusively explored the use of wood for a long period – favouring solid iroko and teak – now, for the very first time, Minotti is presenting a seating system with an unexpected combination of different materials: aluminium, steel, wood, Basaltina stone and cord. One notable example is the extensive Patio range, by the GamFratesi studio, offering an infinite variety of design solutions for customising outdoor spaces to suit the available surface area and any specific requirements.

With its sophisticated soul, the new furniture enhances open-air spaces with the same casual elegance that characterises the indoor ones. Sofas, armchairs, chaise-longues, little armchairs and ottomans, designed in specific outdoor materials and enriched by coverings selected from the brand’s exclusive textile collection, express a concept of sharing and conviviality, also in the outdoor areas of hospitality settings, marinas and yachts.

The outdoor collection is complemented by a range of occasional and coffee tables, in sculptural shapes and featuring perfect blends of natural materials, as well as rugs designed to highlight the furniture. The versatility of the collection makes it easy to use in relaxation, dining and conversation areas, in the residential and hospitality sectors, each time creating a surprising landscape that is never ordinary.
