As guests you are immersed in the heart of Champagne’s vineyards; the historic home of Maison Perrier-Jouët houses Europe’s largest private collection of French Art Nouveau.

As one crosses the threshold of 11 Avenue de Champagne in Epernay, an impressive mahogany glass door designed by prominent Art Nouveau architect Hector Guimard sets the tone. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this majestic building, which was once the home of the family of the founders of Perrier-Jouët, houses Europe’s most important private collection of French Art Nouveau, a testament to the building’s powerful architectural and historical significance.

It is in this privileged space, whose doors have never been opened to the public, that guests of Four Seasons Hotel George V, Paris will live an exceptional gastronomic and oenological experience placed under the sign of the French art of living, to discover the famous Champagne house founded in 1811 by Pierre-Nicolas-Marie Perrier and his wife Adèle Jouët.

Upon arrival, you have the privilege to discover the interiors of this stunning home full of history, while admiring the magnificent halls adorned with Art Nouveau pieces. The visit will reveal objects and furniture by Emile Gallé and Louis Majorelle, an exceptional collection of glassware dating from the beginning of the last century, and works by Rodin and Toulouse-Lautrec. Each of the first-floor rooms is dedicated to a master of Art Nouveau, including Hector Guimard, Gauthier-Poinsignon, Louis Majorelle and Louis Brouhot.

The day continues in the majestic Eden Cellar, which houses the oldest vintage champagne in the world, where guests will taste the finest vintages of the House in the company of the cellar master or an ambassador of the House. The experience continues in the magnificent gardens, where a delectable lunch crafted by Chef Sébastien Morellon will be served in leafy surrounds. After lunch, guests will take part in a private tour of a Champagne vineyard.

Guests wishing to return to the French capital that evening can enjoy an exclusive dinner at the George V hotel, celebrated worldwide for its exceptional culinary offering. In the intimate atmosphere of the Michelin-starred restaurant L’Orangerie, visitors will sip a few bubbles from the House of Perrier-Jouët, and then will be invited to savour Chef Alan Taudon’s delicate compositions. Paired with some of the luxury House’s finest wines, the menu will be a gourmet interlude.

Guests who would like to extend their stay in Champagne region in France will enjoy a gourmet dinner paired with fine Perrier-Jouët wines. To round off this magical evening, guests will overnight in one of the five rooms of Maison Belle Epoque. In the morning, they will take a stroll to the heart of the vineyard, where they will have a delectable picnic in a bucolic setting. In the early evening, guests will return to Paris, where the day culminates in a gourmet dinner prepared by Chef Alan Taudon – the perfect way to end what promises to be a sublime food and wine experience.
