Emilio Pucci is drawing on the past to bring daring to the present.
KOCHÉ x PUCCI Fall/Winter 2020-2021 runway show. Cool activewear items merging cutting-edge technology with sophistication.
A Fall Winter 2020-2021 collection at the crossroad of a sophisticated heritage, a search for design innovation, the power of youth, self-expression and palpable emotions.
After three years away from the runway, Florentine Fashion Maison Emilio Pucci stepped back into the spotlight by inviting Christelle Kocher to reinterpret its heritage for Fall-Winter 2020/2021. The Creative Director of Maison Koché, the Parisian fashion brand at the crossroad of couture know-how and streetwear attitude, drew inspiration from the rich archives of the luxury Florentine Maison, revisiting them with her very contemporary style.
The 2020 KOCHÉ x PUCCI show was held in the suggestive atmosphere of the 16th-century San Paolo Converso deconsecrated church in Milan.
This started with the design of a new logo welcoming Koché into the artistic universe of Emilio Pucci and symbolizing the spirit of the collection, with its daring update of the past. Thus, feminine lace and silk were combined with technical jersey to bring a fabulous energy to dresses, transforming them into elegant sportswear
“Feminine lace mixed with technical jerseys as seen on sensual dresses with a sportswear energy associated with the fluidity of a twirling silk. The opulence of a tracksuit embellished with pearls and crystals to seduce and entice even the most pragmatic minds. Womanhood makes room for menswear within a gender bending narrative,” commented Emilio Pucci.
The new Fall Winter 2020/2021 collection also demonstrated its modernity by a desire to break down barriers – between past and present, between sportswear and evening gowns, and indeed between genders, with male and female silhouettes shown together in perfect harmony.
