Portuguese high-end furniture brand Duistt unveils its novelties at Maison et Objet Paris, the leading home Dècor fair connecting the international interior design and lifestyle community. Duistt exhibits within Forever Signature, the place where luxury brands, the excellence of true craftsmen and haute couture decoration concepts meet.

Inspired by the architectural designs and aesthetics of the 70s, Duistt presents an elegant living room where concrete lines, played through a viroc panel, are involving a set of exquisite designs combined with orange walls that bring warmth to the space. The highlight is a bar with a cylindrical shape resembling the geometric forms used in the 70s by iconic architects like John Lautner and Oscar Niemeyer.

Oscar modular sofa allures for its sensual and free-flowing curves.

In effect, one of the stars of the 2019 trade show is Duistt’s Oscar, a modular design inspired by the curved lines poetry of Oscar Niemeyer’s architecture. Like Niemeyer once said “Curves make up the entire Universe” as this contemporary modular sofa will surely make up any living room adding a sophisticated and timeless appeal. When it comes to décor, this sofa offers endless possibilities, says Duistt.

The premium furniture brand is also presenting the furnishing collection Apollo. A touch of divine and stellar inspiration depictedin a duet of designs, armchair and dining chair. that appeals because of its iron structure blended with some of the finest selection of fabrics.

Exploring the stellar theme and finding inspiration in outer space, Duistt releases a series of rounded mirrors and coffee tables. Cluster is a collection of rounded mirrors in black lacquered iron and brushed brass details. Duistt space is also adorned withthe sophisticated brass details of Ray Collection, which includes two coffee tables and one side table, and the Orbit accent table, a handmade brass structure involved by two rings which “provide the graceful feeling of movement and stillness at the same time.”

Duistt’s best seller, the Julius Chair, inspired in mid-century modern design, is a timeless and understated luxury furniture piece. It is constructed with noble materials like brass and fabrics that enhance its beauty such as the hidden structure on the back of the chair that makes it look suspended. At the 2019 shows, this classic is customized with an exquisite orange fabric from the luxury Maison Lelievre Paris. The bar’s countertop also has a trio of Julius bar stools, a brand’s iconic design defined by its
modern and clean lines.

Also, the collection include the Lune C stool, a versatile piece that can be used as a stool or, with a wood tray on its surface, as small coffee table. The lighting is in charge of Chain pendant, an interesting and unique item made up of three hanging pendants each gibing a soft, warm and inviting light. The chains are designed using a mix of brushed brass and dark bronze which creates a harmonious contrast.

Maison et Objet Paris takes place from 18 to 22 January at Paris Nord Villepinte Exhibition Centre.
