Fortune favours the bold, says footwear designer Christian Louboutin. According to the celebrated designer, sophisticated touches of elegance bring dreamy visions of grandeur to life.
Inspired for Spring – Summer 2018 by the lavishness of a life well-lived, Christian Louboutin honours his heritage of craftsmanship with gilded colours, rich velvets, luxurious embroideries and sumptuous strass.
With a heel of cascading handmade sequin flowers, beaded embellishments and sapphire crystals, Donaflor gleams from immaculate chateau gardens, while Officialito Flat dresses in a luxe, navy woven fabric that can be created in just one of Italy’s specialised factories. “Officialito” is for the menswear aficionado. Cloaked in a luxe navy woven ‘tresse maillot’ fabric, this slender loafer is finished with a pair of royal upholstery inspired cotton tassels.

Put a swish in your step with “Barry Mule”. This elegant 35mm slide in voile suede with gold twisted piping features soft cotton threaded tassels that add a regal touch to your ensemble.
“Shoepeaks Clutch” is inspired by the imagination of the unparalleled David Lynch. Formed of two surreal “So Kate” silhouettes superposed on one another, this hard-bodied objet d’art moulds perfectly to your grip. Snaps closed with a delicate chain strap for optional shoulder wear. “Vanite Small Clutch” is an evening gem. This embellished hard-bodied case is finished with an opulent Loubi red crystal clasp bar. As Loubouting suggests, “carry as a clutch or on the shoulder with the optional chain strap.”
Christian Louboutin is enamored with bows and how they are used to accentuate the female form. The toe of “Artydiva” is a billowing hand-tied bow in black mousseline casting a feminine spell on this 120mm sandal in delicate crepe satin.
Christian Louboutin created four one-of-a-kind styles for the Last Jedi’s powerful heroines
This december, Christian Louboutin collaborated with “Star Wars” to create a set of five one-of-a-kind shoes based on the women of StarWars: The Last Jedi.”
“But not all merch makes sense, and even Disney can steer an iconic brand like “Star Wars” to the Dark Side of branding,” says Variety.
And they are right.
In addition to the Space Shoe, Christian Louboutin created four one-of-a-kind styles as part of the collaboration, each representing one of The Last Jedi’s powerful heroines: Rey, a Jakku scavenger, Vice Admiral Amilyn Holdo, the newest addition to Star Wars, Captain Phasma, commander of the First Order’s legions of Stormtroopers, and Rose Tico, a Resistance maintenance worker.
