This year spectacular Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, one of the world’s most celebrated fashion shows, was accented with crystal. The lingerie brand Victoria’s Secret and Swarovski, makers of the one of the world’s finest crystal elements, celebrated a ten-year partnership with over one million Swarovski Elements incorporated into 14 bespoke creations. The show presented a total of 65 creations fashioned from lace and brocades and enriched with embroidery techniques and elaborate beading.
One of the most anticipated costume of the collection was the 10th Anniversary look by Todd Thomas, designer for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, constructed by Barak Stribling with beading by Polly Kinney.
The runway show also featured 28 pairs of iconic Victoria’s Secrets ‘Angel’ wings, jeweled couture centerpieces encrusted with crystals. The wings were accessorized by Nicholas Kirkwood’s trademark fantasy footwear, theatrical jewelry from Larry Vrba, with additional pieces from David Mandel, and crystal-accented stockings and accessories.
The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show will air on December 4 on the CBS television network. This year, the show features musical performances from Grammy Award-winning artists Rihanna and Bruno Mars, and Grammy Award- nominated artist Justin Bieber, pink carpet interviews, supermodel profiles, and a behind-the-scenes look.
