Celebrity Golf Invitational at Fairmont Mayakoba Announces Winners.

For the second consecutive year, Celebrity Golf Invitational took place from June 8 to 11 at Fairmont Mayakoba and El Camaleón Mayakoba golf course with the participation of well-known international celebrities.

Fairmont Mayakoba, Riviera Maya, opened its doors to the Celebrity Golf Invitational, an international sporting event that brings together sports and entertainment celebrities.

The Celebrity Golf Invitational took place at Fairmont Mayakoba and the El Camaleón Mayakoba golf course.

The golf event featured the participation of well-known international celebrities from the sports and entertainment industry. Some of the notable celebrities who took part in the tournament were Hollywood actors Kevin Dillon and Donovan Carter, NFL figures Adrian Peterson, Eric Dickerson, Jorge Posada, Antonio Freeman, Marshall Faulk, Fred Taylor, Christian Okoye, Santonio Holmes, and Emmitt Smith, as well as NBA basketball player Anthony “Spud” Webb.

Fairmont Mayakoba, located in Riviera Maya, hosted the tournament and provided the participants, guests, and celebrities with a luxurious experience. The hotel, known for its AAA-5 Diamond certification, offers personalized service, luxury facilities, and accessibility to the destination. The tournament provided attendees with an exclusive experience within the hotel’s 600-acre tropical forest setting, surrounded by crystal clear waters and a pristine Caribbean coastline.

The tournament took place at the El Camaleón golf course, which was designed by Australian golfer Greg Norman and opened in 2006. The course, featuring 18 holes and recognized as one of the best in Mexico, has hosted various prestigious golf events, including the first LIV tournament in Latin America and the first PGA event outside the United States. The course’s design integrates seamlessly with the surrounding Mayakoba ecosystems, including the tropical jungle, dense mangroves, freshwater canals, and the beaches of the Riviera Maya.

This year’s edition of the tournament followed a go-go format, with 9 groups consisting of 4 players each. The event included contests such as Closest to the Pin, Longest Drive, and Putting Contest, with prizes awarded to the winners in each category.

The winners of the tournament were Emmitt Smith, Andres Martinez, Pedro de la Vega, and Jose Paul Ibarra. For more information on the winners in different categories, you can refer to the provided link.

The event had several sponsoring brands, including Porsche, which provided luxury cars for the Hole in One prizes, renowned jewelry designer Daniel Espinosa, Maestro Dobel Tequila, and Just Water.

In addition to being a sporting event, the Celebrity Golf Invitational also supported the Dr. Sonrisas Foundation, an organization dedicated to improving the lives of vulnerable children and youth through education. This commitment to social responsibility aligns with the shared values of Fairmont Mayakoba, the organizers, and sponsors of the tournament, who aim to make a positive impact on society.
