First JW Marriott Hotel Opens in New York City

JW Marriott hotel chain
is expanding by opening the brand’s first hotel in New York City – JW Marriott Essex House New York. Located on Central Park South, just steps from Fifth Avenue temptations, the 509-room hotel is situated in a building that was first opened in October 1931. At that time, Essex House was the tallest tower in New York City. The building remains one of Manhattan’s most revered Art Deco masterpieces of the 1930s.

Recognized by Historic Hotels of America for preserving its historic integrity, architecture and ambiance, JW Marriott Essex House New York is one of more than 200 hotels across the country that owns this title.

Christie’s, Aromatherapy Associates, Keri Glassman and other JW Marriott’s brand partners will provide fine art exhibitions, signature in-room bath amenities and balanced menu options.
