Fendi – a 60s-inspired 2012 Spring – Summer collection

Fendi presents 60s collection
Fendi showed a 60s-inspired Spring – Summer 2012 collection at Milan Fashion Week event.  Karl Lagerfeld took the luxury label back in time to the glamorous Mary Quant era – and their show-stopping runway didn’t disappoint.

The women sported wonderfully coiffed hair, which was teased in bouffant-like beehives, teamed with silver and gold leaf eye shadow for added drama. Models also donned fly-eye shades which added an air of mystery to the otherwise obvious theme.

The collection was elegant and prim, but the various fabrics and cuts made for a more show-stopping look. Cotton jackets featured cut-away windows at each shoulder, and dresses and blouses adorned with feather and fur embellishment made for an interesting catwalk.
