Exclusive Live Shopping – a personalised live video retail service at the leading luxury department store in France

 

 

Exclusive Live Shopping is a new high-end and entirely personalised shopping experience at Galeries Lafayette. The iconic flagship department store on Boulevard Haussmann in Paris, reopened on May 30.

Galeries Lafayette Hausmann, the leading luxury department store in France and famous all around the world, is ramping up its omnichannel transformation with the launch of “Exclusive Live Shopping”, a new high-end and entirely personalised shopping experience that gives shoppers access to a large part of the luxury and premium range at the Galeries Lafayette flagship store from the safety of their homes via live video, with the assistance of a personal shopper of brand ambassador.

Galeries Lafayette’s objective is making what is offering at its flagship store on Boulevard Haussmann accessible to as many people as possible, beyond its walls.

This new service offers over 120 brands in fashion, beauty, and accessories, including all the leading names in luxury available in-store. With the support offered in several languages, the service is open to customers everywhere, in France and beyond, and offers next-day home delivery and same-day click & collect in-store.

To roll out this new omnichannel service, Galeries Lafayette worked with GoInStore, a start-up accelerated by Lafayette Plug and Play, the innovation platform created by the Galeries Lafayette Group and Plug and Play Tech Center.

“We strongly believe in omnichannel retail, and the unprecedented situation that we have just experienced drove us to demonstrate the extent of our agility and creativity,” said Alexandre Liot, Director of Galeries Lafayette Haussmann.

The high-end Parisian department store is open every day from 11am to 7pm. To ensure that everyone can move around easily inside its three main building – “Coupole”, “L’Homme”, and “Maison & Gourmet” – the number of customers is limited, and visitor flow is organized using clearly sign-posted entrances and exists, so that their numbers do no exceed one person for every 10 square metres. Masks are compulsory for both customers and employees. Hand sanitizer is available at various points throughout the store.
