The Tregolfi Sailing Week, the beautiful regatta organized in the Gulf of Naples and hosted by Circolo del Remo e della Vela Italiana, recorded a great participation of Swan yachts, in both the Maxi and ORC categories. The Tregolfi Sailing Week/ Regate Dei Tre Golfi 2023, a captivating regatta set in the scenic Gulf of Naples and organized by Circolo del Remo e della Vela Italiana, concluded on Sunday with an impressive display of sailing prowess. Nautor’s Swan yachts made a significant impact, competing in both the Maxi and ORC categories and leaving their mark on the event.
Among the standout participants was the magnificent ClubSwan 80 – My Song, making its third appearance since its launch. The yacht entered the Maxi European Championship, a prestigious race organized by CRVI in collaboration with the International Maxi Association (IMA) and supported by Rolex as the official timepiece.
My Song, a remarkable creation by Nautor Swan, built by Persico Marine, and designed by Juan K with Nauta Yacht as the interior designer, achieved another remarkable result, securing seventh place overall against fierce competitors and claiming the top spot in real time.
Ken Read, President of North Sails, expressed his excitement about the sailing week, stating, “The sailing week aboard My Song was nothing short of spectacular. Sailing against maybe the best race boats in the world in the maxi 72s, My Song made very steady improvements throughout the week. The boat is certainly a different animal.” He further added, “Learning how to use the new toys that we have been given on board like a Canard combined with a Canting Keel is a bit different. But we made huge strides, and I’m very pleased with the performance, and the boat is really a pleasure to sail. All in all, a great week and a huge learning curve with much more to go!”

Pierluigi Loro Piana, the owner of My Song, expressed his satisfaction with the regatta, particularly highlighting the yacht’s performance. “The regatta has been very interesting and demanding with unstable wind and heavy rain. My Song delivered a highly commendable performance,” said Loro Piana. “We are obviously happy with the first place in real time, especially in windward-leeward racing. However, we still need to optimize our upwind performance as we are unable to match the assigned rating.”
On Thursday, My Song received the well-deserved recognition as the best-placed Swan yacht at the IMA MAXI EUROPEANS, with the award presented by Roy Capasso, Nautor Swan SEMEA and Americas Regional Director.
Giovanni Pomati, CEO of Nautor Group, expressed his delight at seeing My Song competing against the best boats in the circuit and witnessing the continuous improvement of the yacht. “It’s fantastic to finally see My Song competing against the best boats of the Circuit and be capable of improving from day to day, achieving great real-time results and leveraging on the amazing job done by the team so far,” commented Pomati.
My Song’s racing season continues with the upcoming Rolex Giraglia, commencing in Sanremo on June 9th and concluding in Genoa on June 17th. The yacht will also participate in the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup in Porto Cervo from September 3rd to 9th, followed by Les Voiles de Saint Tropez from September 29th to October 8th.
