White Month by Le Bon Marché & The Webster Miami

Winter Whites @ Le Bon Marché & The Webster Miami.

In January 1873, the visionary founder of Le Bon Marché Aristide Boucicaut created the first “White Month”, a winter event that has become a tradition. During a limited period, special goods go on sale, all in the immaculate color of snow. The renowned Parisian department store, one of the best-known department stores in Paris, is carrying on this tradition in 2015 by creating an exclusive collection in collaboration with The Webster Miami.

Le Bon Marché x The Webster Miami have enlisted for Le Mois du Blanc more than 50 designers. The women’s ready-to-wear contributions include Chloé, Haider Ackermann, Maison Martin Margiela, Balenciaga, and Marc Jacobs. Men’s clothing category features pieces by Dries Van Noten, Raf Simons, Valentino, and Acne. Among the unique pieces are a Lady Dior bag in white lambskin with a silver metal handle, a Louis Vuitton Capucine bag in white leather and lizard, and an English embroidery dress from Marc Jacobs.

“White is timeless and fresh—no matter which continent, city, or country,” The Webster’s Laure Heriard Dubreuil told Style.com. “It is a breath of fresh air, but needs to be perfectly executed, of course.”

From January 10 through February 21, 2015, the invited designers will revisit some of their iconic pieces, creating them in white especially for the event.
