Famed Martinez hotel in Cannes and Paris’ Concorde Lafayette Porte Maillot are now owned by an investor of Qatar.

The hotel group Groupe du Louvre (US hotel group Starwood Capital) has indeed sold these two hotels to Katara Hospitality. Starwood Capital’s Groupe du Louvre will hold a meeting on Thursday with the sale of the Martinez, Concorde Lafayette, Hotel du Louvre and the Palais de la Mediterranee in Nice on the agenda, union representative Claude Levy told AFP. “A promise to sell has been signed recently and there will be an announcement on the matter on June 28,” said Levy.

Katara Hospitality is the owner and manager of a International luxury hotel group. In Paris, Katara Hospitality owns the Peninsula, a luxury hotel to open in 2013 on the luxurious Avenue Kleber in Paris.
