Kaleidoscopic Valentino for Harrods

 #Valentino x Harrods.

Valentino’s Creative Directors, Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli opened the doors to Valentino Christmas world at Harrods with an exclusive capsule collection showcasing a colourful line-up of gowns, cocktail dresses, handbags and one-of-a-kind Christmas ornaments.

Inspired by an iconic print from a 1973 Valentino show, the ready-to-wear collection boasts three ankle-skimming tulle gowns and one cocktail dress in either an eye-catching multi- coloured pattern of bold chevrons or stripes and embellished with sequins, or, for a more classic look, solid shades with on-tone sequins.

The 1973 print is the latest addition to the Spring 2015 accessories representing new geometric patterns mixed with a vibrant color palette. The ever popular Rockstuds, lockbag and Va-va-voom bags are reinterpreted in a kaleidoscopic pattern, giving these edgy styles a boost of color and fresh feel for the new season.

Architect David Chipperfield and Valentino’s Creative Duo nestled the studded handbags and matching shoes in a decor of gleaming marble, brass and oak wood.

Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli have been Valentino’s Creative Directors since 2008, leading to the fashion house’s iconographic legacy being reinterpreted, condensed, resulting in a much more contemporary aesthetic.
