Gold medalist Hannah Teter is new Shiseido U.S. spokesperson

For the first time in the brand’s 140-year history, Japan luxury beauty giant Shiseido has signed gold medalist and Winter X Games champion Hannah Teter as a spokesperson for their suncare, skincare and color lines in the U.S.

“Hannah’s lifestyle and commitment to suncare protection will inspire athletes and women everywhere to take a more active role in protecting and caring for their skin,” said Heidi Manheimer, CEO of Shiseido Cosmetics America.

At the 2013 Burton U.S. Open Snowboarding Championships in Vail, Colorado, where Teter took 2nd place overall, she greeted fans in the Shiseido tent and protected her skin during competition with products from the Ultimate Sun and Urban Environment lines. The 2014 partnership will expand on this relationship and Teter’s dedication to suncare awareness education. Teter will also serve as spokesperson for the brand’s newest launch for millennials, the Ibuki line, as well as Shiseido’s extensive color collections.

“I am thrilled to be working with Shiseido and to be representing their incredible suncare, skincare and makeup lines,” said Teter. “Beauty
to me is about being healthy and strong, both physically and mentally, and Shiseido products arm me with the protection and style I need. I cannot wait to continue to share my experiences with the brand with my fans – and theirs – this year.”

The 2014 Burton U.S. Open Snowboarding Championships will take place March 5th-8th in Vail, Colorado.
