Celestially inspired: Hermès Arceau Attelage Céleste

La Montre Hermes opens a gate to the fairy night sky with the new Hermès Arceau Attelage Céleste. The watch features the emblematic “Duc Attelé” studded with star-like paillons or spangles. The obtained starry sky is, in reality, a complex enamel technique called the paillonné, a technique achieved only by a few craftsmen.

The gold dial is meticulously hand-engraved, the pattern reproducing a detail of a Hermès trinket dish. The dial is then covered with translucent blue pigments and repeatedly fired in a kiln at nearly 800°C. Star-shaped gold paillons are placed one by one during the enamelling.

Hermès Arceau Attelage Céleste watch is powered by the mechanical self-winding Hermes H1928 movement with a gold oscillating weight adorned with dedicated Hermès decorative motif (H symbols). Paired with a matt indigo blue alligator strap with 17 mm white gold pin buckle (5.75g).
