Bottega Veneta Home Collection at Salone del Mobile 2012

For the design fair Salone del Mobile in Milano, Bottega Veneta presents its Home Collection. Tomas Maier mixed Bottega Veneta’s famous artisanal craftsmanship and functionality.

The entire collection will be on display at via Privata Ercole Marelli 6, including the chairs created in collaboration with Poltrona Frau.

In 2008, Bottega Veneta introduced the META chair, designed by Creative Director Tomas Maier and made in association with Poltrona Frau, an international leader in high-end furnishings. Constructed of seasoned beech and poplar wood and upholstered in exclusive Pelle Frau leather, the chair was designed for reading, with a high back, accommodating arm rests and a seat cushion that is soft and supple.

Salone del Mobile in Milano made its first appearance in 1961, designed to promote Italian furniture and furnishing accessories on the export market, and it has continued to do so impeccably, ensuring that the quality of Italian furniture is known to all four corners of the earth, and continues so to do, with half of all its visitors coming from around the world.

The 2011 edition was attended by 282,483 trade operators, 177,964 of whom came from 154 Countries; 32,870 members of the general public and 5,967 communications operators.
